§ 12-85. Commercial chicken houses.

  • (a)

    In order to protect the health, well-being and general welfare of the citizens of the city, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a commercial chicken house wherein chickens are raised within the city limits.

    (b)

    Excepted from the provisions of subsection (a) of this section are any commercial chicken houses in operation as of August 6, 1979, within the city limits, and the keeping of chickens for personal consumption on private property.
